Dear Jane (Insanity)

in Dear Jane -- or Insanity as I call, quilts

Progress is being made on DJ.  The top border is almost complete – I still need to put the scallop edging on it — otherwise I would say the top border was complete.  It is not attached as of yet, but will be soon I hope.  I decided to go with the off white color of my blocks for the plain triangles instead of looking for more fabric to use for more colors without duplicating what I already have.  The right hand side of the quilt is what I will be working on next  I have two completed pieced triangles, quite a way to go yet — maybe it will be completed next year — the top that is, not the quilting :)   I think this will be a 5 year quilt for me, in February it will be 3 years in the making!

Looking Good! Is Insanity your new name for the quilt or for the state of your mind when you finish it?

Everyone should give their own name for a quilt so I am picking “Insanity” as I believe I was insane to start this quilt to begin with!! If I ever start another of this same pattern I think it will be “Insanity Revisited” :)

Wow, this quilt is looking good! I think we’re all a little insane when we start this quilt. This is one of those quilts I never thought I’d do, but a little persuasion and I’m in over my head LOL. The blocks sure are addictive. I only have 11 or 12 done and a few that have the applique finished..just need assembly. Hope to post some more blocks on my blog before the end of the week. Love the colours you chose for your quilt..they’re very striking!

This looks really beautiful!:D Well done for persevering with this long project. There’s hope for me yet. I’ve only got 10 almost 11 blocks and 2 tris done. I love you’ve used brighter colours in it. And you right in saying some of this little blocks do drive you a bit batty. Elly from Nrth Scotland
