My quilt top called Insanity otherwise known as Dear Jane is coming along nicely. Two borders finished, two more to go. So far including all of the sashing and plain triangles there are 4,253 pieces in this quilt top — I think it will be over 5,000 pieces in it when I get done with it — which is looking more and more like the top will be finished sometime this year. I started it 3 years ago on February 23, 2005 wonder how close to being done I will be on that date this year?

How pretty! I love all the color in your quilt – I can’t wait until I get this far on mine, that’ll be a while down the road!

It’s awesome and I”ve no doubt you can have it finished by 2/22, this year, making it a three year accomplishment. I’ve seen a number of bloggers who are working on this quilt and have seen some really wonderful representations of color in the blocks. Fascinating!

I’m thinking the February 22nd, 2009 should be a good date to wrap it up. That will give you enough time to wrap and deliver it on the 23rd! LOL.

thank you all for your comments on the quilt. And Melanie only wants me to finish it next year on the 22 of Feb so she can have it for her birthday and doesn’t seem to understand that I will want to keep it for some time to come
maybe one year it will be yours sweetie but not right now !!

Hi there! Looks like we are almost at the same stage in our Baby Jane quilts! I have only 7 more triangles to piece, as well as two kites! Then comes the fun part of sewing the border together and attaching it!!! What will I ever do when I’ve finished this project!!! It’s “only” been four years since I started!!! LOL!!! Keep up the great work! Mary Ann
