The Mariners compass quilt is almost ready to be put on the quilting frame. Here is a photo of it – in this photo 2 of the compasses in the corners still need to be appliqued down but as I had an opportunity to get a photo of it I went ahead and took one — well actually this photo was taken by a friend –thank you Natalie and thank you Lori for helping me hold it up over the balcony. I used black Kona cotton for the background and the print fabric is from the Felix line of fabric designed by Barbara Campbell and Yolanda Fundora for Hancock Fabric Stores. This quilt was designed by yours truly! I did use bits and pieces of patterns that I have seen but the overall design is mine.

Karen the quilt is beautiful I can hardly wait to see the quilting. It will feel great to get it in the frame and get started. regina
Mom, it looks wonderful. I really like the design and the colors pop off the black background. Very nice.
Love ya,

E-mail me . I can’t find your e-mail again. I have another lady that is looking for the felix fabric. I need to know the store that you found all the prints. Thanks. I looked for the quilt but didn’t find it. Dawn Miller
Karen, it is really really lovely. I love the black background, it really makes the colors shine. I’m looking forward to seeing how you go about the quilting.
I followed a link from a post you made on the DJ list. Your Mariner’s Compass is stunning! Can’t wait to see it quilted and finished. I’m hoping you do a LOT of quilting on it… and submit it to a quilt show somewhere!
