I have been so busy piecing this last month that I have spent little time quilting. I have finished the quilt top for my granddaughter today. She loves pink so there is a lot of it in it for her quilt. This is a scrap quilt — lots of different fabric in it. I got the idea for this one from a website called http://www.backporchdesign.com/ this designer also sells acrylic templates on her site for the drunkards path pattern and let me tell you they worked out really well! I am so glad I purchased them. Now that I am done piecing the tops for the grandchildren they will be put aside for several weeks until I get my batting. I like the batting called Quilters Dream and I will get that in two weeks when I go shopping in Little Rock and stop at the quilting store there called Blossom Quiltworks, http://www.blossomquiltworks.com/ the backing for these two tops I am getting from a shop locally called the Calico Ladies Fabric Shoppe and Art Doll Studio http://www.paulasdollhouse.net/ she carries the wide fabric making it unnecessary to piece your back together. Both of these quilt tops will be hand quilted like I always do. I will be very busy quilting this year as I have the large Mariner’s Compass on the big quilting frame and my smaller hoop will be kept occupied with these smaller twin size quilts. Dear Jane (Insanity) is coming along nicely and I have one triangle left to piece of the bottom border and then that border is ready to piece leaving — a drum roll please !!!!! one more border to go which has of course 13 more pieced triangles to do. I will finish that top this year — the end is finally in sight
Here is a picture of Ciera’s quilt top (some of the light colors in the photo came across lighter than they actually are but you can get a good idea of what it looks like):

Karen I like that quilt an pattern bring it to guild on thursday. I can not believe you did all that work either and you forgot to tell about the charity quilts that you have done. I will talk at you latter. regina
Mom she will love it! It’s so bright and colorful and she’ll have fun picking out which little bits of fabric in the quilt she likes the best, as she likes to do.
glad to know that you think she will like it — I agree I can just see her trying to figure out what piece she likes the best like she does with the postage stamp quilt.
What a wonderful, glorious, colorful quilt!!! EVERY little girl would love to have that one. What great fabrics you have in your stash. Hope you’re keeping warm!
