I have found a new header for the blog that I like – it is there now for you to see – although it will still be changing but this is more the look I am going for – something simple without a lot of clutter. There will be pictures added. In the right hand corner is an area to put snap shots. This will change to a different picture each time you come to visit. Right now these are pictures that my husband has appear on his blog from our travels. These photo’s for my page will revolve more around quilting and things I do as well as some from our travels.
I have added an “about” me to give a little information about myself. I might post a photo of myself later – right now the big change for me in this upcoming year is that three months ago I decided to no longer dye my hair! Yes a big change. I started to get some white hair back in my early 20’s which gave way to some gray in my 30’s and 40’s. I really do not know any longer what my hair looks like as I have been dyeing it for about 15 years at least – maybe longer, I have lost track. I will have to continue growing it out for another 3 months or so before all the old hair is cut off. I have been getting it trimmed monthly but there is still a bit more to go. I have decided not to dye my hair anymore for two reasons – one is I’m getting sick and tired of dyeing it! The second is concern of all the chemicals I have introduced to my body through hair folicles by dyeing it in the first place. I guess I want to be more natural and accept that yes I am 56 years old and some of us go gray and white earlier than others. If I had never dyed my hair to begin with I would be totally use to it now.
So what will be different about this year. For one I will be updating my blog, giving it a different look. I’m not sure as I posted last night what it will be like. I tried 3 different looks last night and didn’t like any of them and changed back to what I had. If you dropped in you might have noticed but none of them lasted long. This upcoming week I hope to fix that and decide on one and keep it for awhile.
I do not do actual resolutions – but I put a few goals in front of my thoughts running through my head and try to stick with it — like use up more of the stash, finish projects, stay healthy, keep exercising, don’t sit at the computer so much (yah, right let’s see how that works), be more computer literate —– could go on. Do you all make resolutions and if you do – do you stick to it?
