Scrap quiltThe scrap quilt that I started on Monday  is coming along nicely.  I have 36 squares completed, 6 1/2 inches finished size.  I will be making them into larger blocks – 4 to a block for a 12 inch finished size block.  Enough right now for a 36 x 36 inch baby quilt.  I have plenty of scraps left from these that I used to make a border or two of some size to finish it off.  Right now this is what it is looking like.  I don’t know if this will be the layout – I might change it tomorrow before I start to sew it together.   I don’t know if I will get it all done tomorrow but maybe.  I have been spending a lot of time in the sewing room lately and my house needs to be cleaned so I need to take some time to get that done tomorrow first!

e-8 Dear Jane

Besides working on this scrappy quilt I started a new Dear Jane block yesterday and got done with it today while I was watching the evening news.

E-7  Bread Basket is done and added to the row.  I have to work on my picture taking – this one is a bit blurry.  I need to start mounting them on the wall someplace when I take pictures of these blocks, I have been sticking them to my office chair but that gives it a slightly curved look to it.  I will try something else next time.

Underground Railroad QuiltYesterdays question was what do these things have in common:  Hand of Friendship, Duck’s Foot in the Mud, and Bear’s Paw.  The answer is they are different names for the same block. I have never heard of any name for the Bear’s Paw except Bear’s Paw.  The bear paw in this quilt is in the middle of the top row.

New Question.

A- The Crazy Quilt    B- The first Electric Iron   C- Rotary Cutters
