I don’t think there is anything better to sew with than Ott True Lite Lamps. I bought another one yesterday. I had gotten a gift card from Hobby Lobby and also printed out a 40% coupon to use when I ran by the store to get some rotary cutting blades and sewing machine needles. I wandered around the store wondering what to spend my gift card on when I saw that the lamps were 40% off. No need to use the coupon. I got a table clamp on light that is perfect for my sewing machine table. Original price was $79.99, my price $48 – minus a $50 gift card — I still had $2.00 to spend. Well I admit I did spend more than that after all I had went in to buy blades which I used my 40% off for and sewing machine needles. Plus I also picked up some Xmas decorations on 80% off. Can’t beat a deal like that!
I have several other Ott Lights that I have bought over the years. One thing I like about them is that they do not put off much heat. Here is a floor standing model that I have for by my quilting frame. I can move it wherever I need to as the cord is long enough to go from one end of the frame to the other as the outlet is in the middle of the wall. Don’t pay any attention to the mess under the quilting frame – I don’t have enough storage room and things get tossed under the frame all the time:)

I have one more! It is a table lamp that has an extension on it so I can have the light closer to my needle work when I am working on applique. This lamp my husband bought for me for a Xmas present one year, it is the brass decorative lamp – love it.

This is what that lamp looks like when it is not extended.
I have been working on the scrappy quilt top that I started Monday evening. It is coming along ok, it is about 36 x 36 inches right now. I will be putting some borders around it, I’m not sure how many. I had a lot of scraps leftover after I cut out the first sections from the strips, so I cut those down into different size triangles and I will match them up as I had with the larger ones to a yellow triangle. I will see how many I have and go from there with the scraps and then we will see how large this baby quilt will end up being.
