it makes it feel like a new house when you make changes like that. I hope you have some good weather to enjoy the patio.

I had a great visit with my mom - I would have more time to visit except the drive takes up 4 hours of the day! She is 84 and in a wheelchair but we go to lunch and shopping - it is getting more difficult to get the chair in and out of the car so many times but I can still handle it! She loves to get out and go shopping. I left a little after 8 in the morning and didn't get home until close to 9PM

Karen the quilt is going to be stunning. You are wise to know when to stop working. I was in Kroger this morning and saw a woman and her mother shopping. The daughter was so short with her mother several times that I wanted to shake her. I would give anything to be walking slowly along with my mother at the grocery store and I wanted to tell her that! Enjoy your time with your mother - it will be precious to you later. blessings, marlene BTW - my deck needs lots of work - are you available?

Your Christmas Baltimore Album quilt looks great with the sashing! I love it. Good luck finishing up your deck. It already looks like a cool spot to relax.

It looks like you really opened the area up. The finished product will really give it a design look I am sure. It's fabulous.

You are wise to back off and not end up making mistakes...a lesson I should have followed last night LOL. Your deck is going to be beautiful.

Wow Karen - the CBA is going to be so lovely! I bet you can't wait until Christmas now?! :)Actually it reminds me of a Christmas tablecloth my grandmother had, but that one was embroidered. Your porch and deck looks great! I'm sure you'll spend many wonderful hours out there! Wishing you a great day!
