thanks everyone for your comments. We are so glad we made it through the storm good too.

Caron you would not believe how fast trees grow here in Arkansas. What it takes for Michigan trees to grow in 50 years is what it takes about 20 to 30 years in Arkansas. We planted several trees 25 years ago that are huge. I will post some pictures of them.

CJ I know what you mean about city water (or county water actually) we are on a boil water order I'm not sure for how long. We do have a well as when we first moved here county water was not available. We had so much trouble with the pump that when we finally got the country water we didn't fix the pump the last time it went out. We are thinking it is something we might want to do and use it for watering the outside and have it available if we ever loose the water again due to a storm or whatever. The well water is very bad with minerals though- the bathroom tub, toilet, sink had turned orange from the mineral content.

Wow, lots of HUGE trees uprooted! How scary! I hate seeing damage like that. It takes some trees 50 or more years go get that big. Not something you can replant and have full-size in your lifetime, usually. Glad you guys are alright!

Hugs from Michigan!

we heard winds were 50 to 75mph but that some gusts of wind were higher than that. We did hear yesterday that after the storm passed us a small tornado (level 1) did develop in the next county but it was only on the ground for a very short while.

Wow, you really did have a storm. The trees look like the ones that came down in the hurricanes we had in FL.
