I managed to get a lot done on the quilting last night! Now if I could just stick with it. I did continue for a short time this morning but then there was the house to clean and the list goes on like normal
Anyway here are some photo’s of the quilting on Row G.
On the right are blocks 1 and 2 and on the left are the corners for that row.
I have also been working on the 2nd border for the Christmas quilt and I should be done with that border by the weekend! Moving right along on that. I just finished glue basting the last long green piece on the border – it is ready for stitching. Two more borders to go. I’ll be glad to get done with this top and be able to move on to another. (of course I still have a lot of tops gathering up that need quilting
)
We had so much rain yesterday – we did need it but it sure went on all day. At least it wasn’t the really bad stuff with the high winds.

Jackie is right…your hand quilting is gorgeous! You are moving right along.
I am excited to have my frame up, though I only quilted 2 lines. I have to dig out my lamb skin thimble. I think that will be best on my thumb. If not, I plan to order the paddle thimble. It will be a trial/error thing since I quilt with the top of my thimble and never use the side. Thank you again for all your help!!

Thanks Jackie
Bren check out those little leather thimbles that stick on to your fingers too – they are inexpensive and work pretty good – just don’t get lotion on your hands first or they will fall off — I know this from experience
Lookin’ good Karen. Between you and Bren talking about hand quilting, I’m going to have to get a quilt into the hoop to aleve the urges LOL.
Crispy
Your hand quilting is amazing, Karen!
I can’t wait to see your Christmas quilt finished.
Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a lovely comment.

fabulous quilting Karen: I also look forward to seeing the finished Christmas quilt, you are so clever;o) hugs, Nettie x
thank you all for the comments. I doubt I will have the Christmas quilt ready this year – but if I really get busy on the Insanity quilt it is possible I could get it on the frame – we will see.
Well I agree Dear Jane is insanity. That is why my 40 some finished blocks are in a bag in my “to do” box. Or to finish box really. I hope to finish them someday but I was starting to hate quilting so I stopped. Someday I’ll have more patience and time. Maybe. Yours are lovely. You do such fabulous work. Your quilting is simply stunning.

Oh Karen, I stop reading for a few days and there you go working working it girl! It is always a pleasure to visit here and see your beautiful work.
I so love the white as it shows your stitches quite well on the photos.

You are going to have to learn how to put a video up on how to use your paddle thimble.
Just a thought
I never thought of a video Arlene – I’m not technical and have no idea if I could do that – I will have to ask Mike about that.
