Bren I decided to do a post on that question - just put it out. I have had my quilting frame for about 12 or more years now - maybe 14? and I have lost track of how many quilts I have quilted on it - it just takes practice - once you get the hang of it you will love it.

Thanks for the link. Your frame looks a lot like mine. How did you learn to quilt away from yourself? Do you use your thumb? I am SOOOO tempted to get my frame set up, put a quilt in it and start to practice.

(Bowing several times chanting "we're not worthy, we're not worthy") WOW! Ok, so I just started learning to quilt and sew 3 months ago. I only hope I can one day make something 1/8th as awesome as that quilt. Wow... I've been loving the small shots you've been sharing since I just reading your blog, but jumping the link to the full quilt on the frame, wow. Ok, closing mouth now and going back to learn to stitch a straight line so I can match corners perfectly... :) Veronica

I have a friend who keep time on her quilting too...as hand quilters we know how each minute counts!
I love the quilting on your Insanity quilt. Is it on a big frame? I have a nice frame...holds a king size quilt...but I have such trouble hand quilting away from myself and to the right. I can only quilt toward myself and to the left. I would love to use my frame!!

sometimes I loose track of time Crispy but most of the time I keep a little notebook with my project and jot down the time I start and the time I finish - I have not been as good with it as I use to be though. For the Dear Janes I keep a journal with the project so I do better with those two.

Thanks for stopping by Annika, I have put your blog on my reader so I can see what you are doing.
