What was supposed to be a short flight was delayed somewhat! I was suppose to leave at 7 PM from Memphis and didn’t leave until after 9. They kept delaying it by a half an hour then finally announced that we were going to the other end of the airport to board a different plane – the one I was supposed to be on had a nose gear problem – sure glad they knew about it before we left
the only nice thing about it was I got to talking with another woman waiting for the same plane and after talking for a half hour realized we would be seated next to each other. That was nice as we continue talking all the way to the other plane on the other end of the airport and chatted all the way to Madison – it was a nice way to pass the time.
Have spent the day familiarizing myself with the layout of the town and where I need to be and when for the grand-kids activities. I’m not sure if I will go to Millhouse Quilts tomorrow or Friday – but I will go for sure!
Mike has gotten more photos ready so I will post some photos from the Cliff Dwellings of Mesa Verde.
cliff dwellings and the round area is what is called a "Kiva" - these no longer have roofs on them of course as they collasped many, many years ago. Kiva's are different sizes but these at Mesa Verde all seem to be about the same size. We have seen some larger in other places.

Love the cliff dwellings. It’s one thing I have never seen but would love to.

I can remember going to the cliff dwellings when I was a kid. It was fascinating then and now. Thanks for the photos and I’m glad you arrived safely!

We have always loved the cliff dwellings and other ancient Indian structures. We were going to go to Chaco Canyon Culture Center in New Mexico but the campground was closed this summer – maybe another year. Next year will be Wyoming and Idaho I think.
I am glad you made it safe.
Love the pictures and happy you arrived safely.
