Great blocks...I love the heart block-it looks at first like reverse applique. It would make a wonderful Valentine's Day quilt (or pillow)!

Great blocks and a nice little tutorial. Wow the chance of finding the exact same fabric!! I'm sure you will not regret your decision to grab a couple more yards.

I love the red fabric that I picked out for this second dear jane. I got the fabric about a 1 1/2 years ago. The red is a Princess Mira Batik. I had gotten about 10 yards of it initially and then by chance I ran across the exact same color about six months ago and decided to get 2 more yards of it to make sure I didn't run out. I figured if it was not needed I would be able to use if for the binding. Of course the dye lot might have been different but when I got it home it and compared it looked exactly the same!

Karen, I also am always glad to see another quilter's technique especially when it comes to applique. There are so many methods for this type of work. I think yours is uncomplicated and easy to handle and to teach others. It makes the work very portable too. By the way, love the shower curtain and the wall color really sets it off nicely! Looks like you have a small bathroom like me. Well, at least there is less to clean and therefore more time for quilting!!!!
