ACHR0836I’m enjoying looking at other quilters blogs and seeing their Christmas decorations and trees.  It can be a fun time of year if you try not to stress!  I have found that if you cut back the number of presents you need to (or think you need to) buy it is a lot less stressful.  Christmas has turned into too much of a commercialized  holiday for me.  Once we cut back on spending and the amount of gifts it became more relaxing.

I love Victorian Christmas Art and spend part of one day last week looking for Christmas Clip Art for the month of December to add to my blog.  I find it much prettier (in my opinion) than the Christmas Clip Art of the late 1900’s to early 2000’s.  There is something about it that is so pretty I think.

my two nutcrackers.  We bought these two guys most likely about 25 years ago or more.  I had always entended to get more over the years and then for some reason didn't.

Jackie over at Canton Village has quite the collection of nutcrackers – I adore your collection Jackie.

On the quilting front I have been busy on the Dutch Treat quilt and it is moving right along — whereas the Christmas Quilt has had no work done on it for several days.  I think this is because I knew it wouldn’t be done for the holiday this year so it isn’t stressing me out and I’m working on other things knowing it will be done for next Christmas instead!  I have also been working on knitting the sweater, so far so good on that but will I be pleased with the end result!  that is a matter to be seen :) later.

I really need to work on the Christmas tree skirt today  – it is a mildly rainy day and all that is needed to be done out today is a run to the fitness center as I am really trying to get back into it after falling off the exercise wagon once again – I find if I don’t do it for a week or so it is really hard to get back into a routine again.
