Flowers

by Karen on February 17, 2010

in life in general

Nothing like a fresh bouquet of flowers to make it feel like spring even though it is nowhere near!  Still chilly, still snow on the ground (granted not much), a little windy — no daffodils open even though there are buds.  So to bring a touch of spring into my house some fresh flowers on the table in a spring like jug.

Now I will get off of the computer and spend the rest of the evening working on quilts and watching the Olympics -

Wow, the flowers are lovely but I really love the jug!!! It looks hand painted maybe? Perhaps it was a gift or perhaps you bought it on one of your trips as a souvenir? Either way, I love it!

I’m really glad the Olympics are on because I sure cannot find anything else to watch.

Flowers lighten up the day! And so does the first goldmedal to Norway :o ) Heia Marit!

Love the flowers. I did the same thing only I bought a single rose. Flowers sure do lift your spirits.

Just what we need on these last days of winter to remind us that soon it will be spring. Your quilt is lovely also.

the small quilt is from the Dutch Treat book – it is a lot the same as Dear Jane in that they are all different blocks and small!!

When I lived in Norway, I used to buy a bouquet of flowers to brighten up the “black & white” winterdays, especially after New Year, when we were waiting for the spring.:)

I love flowers! I am trying to plant enough bulbs and plants so I can have a bouquet picked from my garden on the table whenever I want. So far, I have one about half the time.
