Since you like applique so much and fell in love with that quilt that you saw, you are making a good investment as you will use the book a lot. Of course now you have a little less cash for Paducah (hehehe). And ... Wow! Using black thread to quilt on white fabric!!!!! You have to have really nice quilting stitches to do that and, sure enough, you do!!! I am hand quilting white on white at the moment in order to get better at the stitching. My stitches don't show up much and that is a good thing right now! I do more machine quilting than hand but love the look of the hand quilting so I need to practice that much more.
