Oh my am I tired!! It is so nice to be home again and to have a decent internet connection!! I will go through photo’s tomorrow and see what I can post as they said no photos of the quilts to be put on the internet. Today was a long drive home after two busy, busy days. I got pizza tonight so I didn’t have to cook and the camper is unpacked (only a weeks worth in it so that wasn’t bad). The windows are open to air out the house as the rain we had while we were gone washed the pollen out of the air and the fresh air smells great!! The house got a little stuffy musty smell while we were gone.
Tomorrow I will go through all of my goodies that I bought and figure out where to store them. I started to listen to the beginning applique dvd that I bought and already have a new helpful hint from it. Most of what I have listened to already though is stuff I knew and do but I’m sure I will pick up other hints from her.
I looked at the feather book this morning on the drive and it is so great – I do not know why I hadn’t gotten this book before.
I of course did not get done with near the quilting and sewing that I thought I would do – I never do – I did get one Dear Jane block finished and about 1/3 of a Little Brown Bird block. The baby quilt is about 2/3’s finished so at least some progress was made.

Welcome home Karen! I thought of you when I heard about the killer tornados in Mississippi! Is Paducah situated in AK?
I have been clever this year too, but a week ago or so I purchased a few yards tone-on-tone and I couldn’t help it but buy some yards of the ‘rural jardin’ collection – it is so beautiful! Can’t wait to get it!

Welcome Home! Glad you had a safe trip. The rain did wash the pollen out of the tree. I have heard that when we have a rain, it washes it away but then new pollen forms and we get more. So get ready. I started doing some applique and realized that fingernails do not go with regular thimbles. Can’t wait to see how you like your new one.

Welcome home Karen! I have to warn you though, you might want to close those windows back up. I thought the same thing, with all that rain and opened my entire house up…. and now I have a fine green film on EVERYTHING! Bleh!
