Melanie and Her “Insanity” (Dear Jane)

by Karen on May 30, 2010

in Dear Jane -- or Insanity as I call

Well I did it – I brought the Dear Jane quilt to North Little Rock today and delivered it to my daughter Melanie:

you can hardly see her but there she is under her new quilt

I finished one more block last night -

Row 12, Block 12 (L-12)

14 blocks left to make and sew the final two rows together.  Then it will be set aside until the fall most likely and then I will get started on the borders.  Now if I can just stay motivated to keep to this schedule!!

I’m saying it again; GORGEOUS quilt! I’m sure Melanie is thrilled by it! Not much to do on #2, you’re working really fast Karen. :)

I like to keep my quilts for awhile too before I give them away. I’m sure Melanie is pleased that the time had finally come to get her quilt.

What a lucky girl. I don’t know if I could bare to give a DJ away…. even to one of my beautifull daughters. ;o) Maybe one day.

You are working those blocks for DJ#2 so quickly. Not much to go now.

Melanie looks so happy under her gorgeous quilt!

WOW! I totally forgot about the borders until you mentioned them…here I was thinking you were almost done!

I want to thank you for you showing how to machine zigzag batting together…I did it on 9-patch quilt and it worked fabulously! (I thank you on my blog post today too.)

Melanie looks VERY happy to finally have her quilt LOL. I really think you can get those 14 blocks done….if you don’t get distracted with a new project or something LOL.
