It was such a hot day today. I did my grocery shopping at about 8:30 this morning to beat the heat! I normally do not get out moving that early but I woke up early anyhow – I’ve been doing that a lot lately.
Seeing as it was so warm outside I was in the house most of the afternoon and I didn’t feel like reading so I got two more dear Jane blocks done and cut out and prepped a third. Here are two completed blocks:

I hope to finish one or two more blocks tomorrow but we will see how it goes. I might do one and end up working on something else for part of the day. It is going to be hot all week and through the weekend so I have a feeling I will be spending afternoons in the house sewing.
I had the most wonderful chocolate cheesecake this evening – it must have been 4 to 5 inches high!! That is a side benefit of attending a financial investment meeting I guess. Have to know what is going on with your retirement money so they better feed you right!
I can sure tell that I will miss my first Dear Jane. Earlier today when working on a block I wanted to compare it to the same block on the first Dear Jane to see how I had done it and went into the bedroom to look at the block and then remembered it was no longer there 
how sad! I had to get out a photo to look instead LOL

You’ve got lots of time… today’s only June 2nd right? How many blocks left? LOL
It WAS hot yesterday! I mowed the yard, started at 7:30 and finished at 10:30, and it was too hot then! But it’ll be worse today so I’m glad it’s done for the week.
Cheesecake… yum!

Moving right along aren’t you? I know what you mean about getting it done before the heat of the day! I’m an early riser, but don’t get dressed too early, but when it’s hot, I, like you go shopping early, not only that there isn’t many people with little kids out at that time either.

Yes I know there is no rush on the blocks but with these hot afternoons I thought I would try to get done with as many of them as I can so I can put it aside until the fall on work on the borders then. So many projects going on.
