Great museum here in Jackson, we spent several hours browsing through the building. Only complaint I have is that the admission price for adults was $12 and 60 and older were charge $10 – without asking us she charge us the $10 LOL should I be insulted – I’m not quite 58 years old still and I use Oil of Olay and hair dye – I’m usually taken for younger
Mike on the other hand doesn’t dye his hair and it is white and gray – I will blame it on him!! Oh well we saved $4 and that counts
The displays outside were really nice – you could take pictures of part of the inside but not of the gallery’s.
A display at the entrance – you see a lot of these bronze type of sculptures here. This museum is across the road from the Elk Refuge so the elk display is very appropriate.
At the entrance to the main drive this sign is seen. Very weird in my opinion, I have never seen a marmot crossing before!
The front of the museum:
A deer by the main door with Aspen trees which I love.
Yellow columbines which I love. I will need to replant my columbines at home, I had purple and yellow and none of them came up this year!
A totem pole in the main hall:
A really nice painting of a bear and with the rock wall for a back drop I really loved it.
This is the building from the road view – built right into the hillside it looks. The front of the building can not be seen from the road.
After the museum we drove up to the southern part of Yellowstone as we will not be going to that end when we visit Yellowstone in a couple weeks. It was actually closer to the Tetons to see it now and then when we go to Yellowstone we will not have that drive to the southern tip. We drove up to see Lewis Falls which we have also loved to see and did not disappoint, the water was running full.

Karen, I apologize for the same response each day to your lovely shared vacation trip…FABULOUS! I loved that “cowboy” bed with the boots for the footboard.
THANKS for taking me along! Safe travels!
Beautiful pictures. I saw on a new program a few days ago that there is water in waterfalls in Yellowstone that haven’t had water in years. It sounds like you picked a good time to be there.

Ha! Take my advice and take the $10 charge as a compliment! Wow, that totem pole is gorgeous.
