Our hike today

We hiked about 4 miles today.  We took a boat across Jenny Lake, this cuts off two miles of the trip to Inspiration Point.  We have taken this hike about 5 times in the past 30 years and always enjoy it.  We go about a half of a mile past the point.  Here are some photos that Mike took today.  He stitched several into each of these.  I think it was originally 3 photos that he turned out into each finished view.

One of the rockiest points of this hike. We don’t know these people :) they were ahead of us and don’t know they poised for a photo.

We love this view!!  It amazes us each time we see it:

Another part of the trail. You can see that a lot of this trail hugs the sides of the mountain:

I will look through more of the photos and see what else to share :)   (this post was from the hiking trail we took on the 18th.)

EEEK!! Some of those trails look kinda narrow and scary but the scenery is well worth the effort you two put into hike.

Karen, So far I am enjoying “our” trip! That is quite a trail you hiked!!! Slightly precarious looking in some spots but the views are worth it. Gorgeous!!! Thanks for taking us along. I really like that you put a map up so we can follow you across the country.

Wow, what gorgeous scenery! The photos make me want to be there.

Thank you for all your great posts!! I am enjoying each and every one of them and I can see why your hips might be complaining.

What a great vacation!!

What challenging trails you two are going on. Do you notice the higher altitude? I would be getting out of breath.
Love the views of the mountains. We lived in Colorado in the mid 80′s and I sure miss those mountain views.

Karen, You have awakened the travel bug in me. When our children were young we went on a two month camping trip from Chicago to the west coast (Portland to LA) and back. We saw beautiful country side and had a great time: 42 years ago. Oh, my.
