Rain!

I do not know when it rained here last but this morning it rained!  For over an hour – maybe it was even closer to two hours, I wasn’t really looking at the clock all that much.  I was busy enjoying seeing the rain. With all those leaves on the ground it looks more like fall – and sad but most of those leaves have fallen since we got home last week and have watered the yard several times.

I went to the fitness center this afternoon and when I got home some of the ground cover was actually greener and there we several patches of green grass here and there – it sure was soaking in the water quickly.  Now if we could just get several days of this :)

Rain, glorious rain. We went to a baseball game tonight and it was rained out. And this game was a makeup game for a rainout which was a makeup game for a rainout. You would think it rains here all the time….not!!

It rained on us this morning while driving between Russellville and Atkins. I thought about you and wondered if you got any rain. Glad to hear you did.

We’re supposed to get rain in the wee hours of the morning and for the next 2 days. We need it too. I got caught in a downpour yesterday in my car in a town 10 miles from here. I got a free car wash from it but we didn’t get a drop in our town.

Rain is very welcome at times – good for your garden. If you need more rain I’ll gladly send some clouds over to you – lol! August has been quite wet. Monday was such a beautiful, sunny day, so I managed to do some weeding. When it rains, I love being inside quilting. :)

I bet the air smells so much sweeter too. I love a good soaker after many dry days :0)

We could use some rain here in Portugal! It’s still very hot and we have a great extension of forest burning right now!
Your vacations looked awsome! I hope you really had a great time!

As much as I enjoy your quilt posts, I love it when you post photos of your back yard. It’s really quite lovely. Our yard right now is a blank slate. One day, I hope to “steal” some of your ideas and add them to my back yard. ;)
