I didn’t actually get around to sewing until this evening so I am posting my design wall Monday a little late today. I finished quilting the baby quilt last night and I got my multi color binding sewed this evening with the machine – now on to the hand stitching part of it. I don’t know if you can tell from the photos how I am doing this but sometimes for scrappy quilts I like to do binding in several colors instead of just one. I need to come up with a name for this quilt – I have had several people tell me it reminds them of Neapolitan Ice Cream – so what kind of name can anyone come up that pertains to that for this baby quilt!!
Binding underway:
Machine work done now on to the hand stitching of the binding. From here I think you can see that I have pink, green, and yellows for the binding. I will show another photo tomorrow. Maybe I will have it done – and maybe not ![]()
I have moved rapidly on this quilt as I had spent a lot of time just sitting around for awhile after the car accident and really kept busy with this quilt for the first several weeks. I started the hand piecing on December 29th – that took two weeks and the quilting has taken about that too. I kept it simple.
So head on over to Judy’s page Patchwork Times and see what everyone is working on.
