TA-DA–It’s Done

I love it – so crisp, crinkly – it will decorate the edge of my couch for awhile for sure – I will pull it up over my cold toes when the air conditioning is running all summer and when the weather switches cold in the winter it will continue to warm me up – just the right size.

Machine Pieced — about 10 days

Hand Quilted – about 2 months of on and off again work – about 80 hours or so!

Quilted with King Tut Variegated Thread.

Innocent Crush fabric line.

Finished size after the slight shrinkage from  Quilter’s Dream 100% Cotton Batting is 66 x 74 inches.

Pattern was featured on the Moda Bake Shop – click on the link if you want the pattern –I didn’t put the border they had on it.

EDITED: 4/15 I just noticed that I have been referring to this pattern as “Geese in Flight” I think awhile back I renamed this pattern without realizing it.  On the Moda Bake Shop pattern it is named “Geese in the Park” sorry for any misunderstanding.

Multi-color binding using strips of almost every color in the quilt.

A lovely quilt! I found my rhythm hand piecing and hand quilting, but haven’t done a whole lot in the last year. Now I’m itching to pull it out again 🙂 Thanks for sharing the pics of your work.
