I have a new “badge” on my side bar called “Celebrate Hand Quilting!”.

If you click on this badge on my sidebar  it leads you to Caron Mosey of Michigan Quilts.

Caron is asking hand quilters to grab this badge and add it to their side bar and go to her page and leave a link.  She is planning on having a list of hand quilters on her side bar sometime next month.

So if you are a most of the time hand quilter you might want to check out her blog.

Middle of the week already – head on over to Lee at Freshly Pieced and see what everyone is working on.

Me – I am working on 3 different projects right now.  I want to see how I want to quilt the small quilt before quilt group on Friday so I thought I would get started on it.  I like to have a pattern in mind and have it started in advance as sometimes there is so much chatter that I really can’t make up my mind well on starting something Smile  To me this easy simplistic quilt was calling out to me to stick with straight lines.

I am using a variegated King Tut thread that has a lot of yellow and oranges in it.  I hope I have enough – it was a left over spool from an old project.  I might have to order another at some point if it looks like I will be running too low.

One of the other projects I have back on the front burner is my Joseph’s Coat quilt.  I  started to hand piece the row on the right on last night.  This project is so outgrowing my design wall.  I will have to be doing a combination of laying it on the floor to make sure it is going right as I get these diagonal rows pieced for as you can see I am having to flip them over the top of the design wall as it isn’t long enough.

The other project that I am working on currently is on the big quilting frame being hand quilted also –  I try to quilt on it for at least an hour a day since we got home last week, if I stick with that maybe I can get the next quilt on the frame this winter (I have at least 3 waiting in line).
