Done with another one! The signature quilt is now finished other than making a label for it. I will get it sent off to my niece after the new year.
The only other piece I would like to get finished before the end of the year is the table runner that I have been working on. It is almost finished. I have a little more quilting to do and then the binding. After the binding is done then I will see if I want to add any other little bits of quilting to it before I consider it done.
The Signature Wedding Quilt, measures 58 x 72 inches I think. I measured it the other day when I cut the binding and now I have already forgotten what it was! There was a little shrinkage when I got it wet. I didn’t wash it with soap – I only put it through a rinse and spin cycle to get the blue pen color out of the quilt. Then I put it in the dryer. I’m happy to report I had no fading and no colors ran! I did do sample checks before I started making the quilt of course and was happy with the way it went.

The photo panel. The wedding was in the fall and she wanted fall colors so I appliqued some leaves on it too to go with the fall theme colors.

One of their engagement photos.

The backing. With mostly straight line quilting this one did not take a super long time to do once it got on the frame and would have been done several months ago if we hadn’t been on the road in September and October traveling. It went on the frame in early August. It took about 55 hours of quilting in between working on other projects.
