Head on over to Judy at Patchwork Times to see what everyone this nice Monday is working on.
I think I will work on Star Crazy – I haven’t spent much time working on hand quilting lately. If I get tired of that I might take a break and cut pieces for the next row of Joseph’s Coat.
I have this section of Star Crazy marked and ready to quilt. When I get done with this section I will be at the middle of this “row” I am so glad to be almost to the half way point of this quilt. It is always a good feeling to have a quilt half way done.

So what are you working on today?

Beautiful!!! Your stitches are just so nice! I am hand quilting this afternoon, but spending the morning in the sewing room.

Proof of your productivity-this was not even a top when I went to the US! (No time for me to visit blogs while I was there.)
Love the quilting-I love how you fitted in the design so its not all straight lines!

I love following the progress of your hand quilting! I’m a handquilter, too, and understand how slow the progress on those projects can seem compared to people who whip out machine-quilted quilts every other week!
Though I do, occasionally, machine quilt a quilt, I prefer hand quilting…it puts me in a zen-like state!
You inspired me to do the “Star Crazy” and so I bought the pattern from Quaketown Quilts from Texas. Did you do the paper piecing? I’m hoping it’s not going to take me a year to piece the entire quilt and I’m wanting to hand quilt it too. I’ve seen to many machine quilts projects, hand quilting is important to keep alive and enjoy the process because it is “quilting”.
Thank you for the inspiration.
Every time I see your quilts, I want to make one with a white or off-white background and lots of colors. I still haven’t. Maybe I can get around to it this summer. Did you make it out for a walk today? It was absolutely beautiful.
