Star Crazy

I managed to get in a little time on Star Crazy yesterday and today.  Finally!  I have made some progress but I am not at the half way point yet – maybe by the end of the weekend if I keep at it.  This evening I will work on Joseph’s Coat also – it will be nice to get that pink row put together – a lot of pieces to put together though before I add the row to it.

This much left to do before I roll it down some more.  When I roll it down I will be half finished hand quilting this quilt!

Last night at the quilt group it was so easy to grab the box of triangles as I was leaving the house and I worked on it last night – no big bags or hoops and quilts to grab – it made it easy.  I didn’t really get done with a lot but it was nice visiting with Regina and all the others.  There are actually several in this group that hand piece besides me and Regina – it is so nice to see others doing hand work and know it is not a dead art!  Taking this box is easy but I will always need to make sure I keep plenty of cut out pieces in it otherwise I will need to take a rotary cutter, ruler and mat with me as well as fabric to cut out.  I want to keep it as easy as possible and to have all my tools in the box and ready to go – that makes it so much easier than hunting down items and forgetting something.

I took a walk this morning at the trails – the weather was very windy but nice – it has actually cooled off a little bit since then and is cooler now than at 7 AM.  Flowery trees and turtles!

Turtles – no alligators today (I have actually only seen one once but always prepared with my camera – just in case)
