I really do not know why I do things like this – I did work on Star Crazy for an hour quilting away and made progress then all of a sudden I decided to get the sewing machine out and piece the Pineapple Blocks that I started going on 2 or 3 years ago – they are 6 1/2 inches, paper pieced, 16 blocks total. Why did I decide to put them together – because I finally admitted to myself that I really and truly do not think I will ever make more of them!! I don’t like having unfinished bits and pieces laying around. I do not like having quilt tops laying around waiting to be quilted either! I don’t know when I will quilt this one – right now it is about 24 inches – I say about because I am not a perfect piecer.
I am taking paper out – I have one row done (4 x 4) I might work more on it tonight for awhile before I either get back in here with Star Crazy or on the couch with Joseph’s Coat.
Maybe I will wait to quilt it and add a applique border to it – that is an idea – it would still be wall hanging size or table topper – nothing big. I have too many ideas that go through my mind.
With the paper still on it- I had the flash on, I will get a better photo when the paper is off.

thanks Tim, I am already thinking maybe I should eventually enlarge it in a Round Robin type of style – first border applique then? who knows. we will see.
These are pretty with the white corners; the one I’m following is made from scraps all the way around, so I’m not sure how well the pineapple design will show up. There is an appliqued border then to do. I have half enough blocks for a full sized quilt.
STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Nice job. Very colorful. I hope you hang it up some place where you can see it a lot. So fun to look at it and all your work.

You do what you feel for, if you didn’t feel for hand quilting why not do something else? Love the Pineapple blocks, very colorful.
