This morning was my Friday Morning quilting group – what did we do besides eat apple fritters (thanks Janet) and homemade chocolates (thanks Shirley) we talked a lot and got a little sewing done!
I brought in Joseph’s Coat to show the progress – also I think most of the photos from now of the whole quilt will be taken there as I have run out of room on the living room floor to show the whole thing! I worked on the purple row this morning and this is how it is looking right now. As you can see I have a lot of work to do on that purple row!

Shirley is working on a new top with fussy cut roses -

This is the center of what will be a very large quilt that Shirley is making.

After quilting group I did run over to the fitness center before I came home to work off all those calories I consumed but I know I didn’t succeed. I went and got cramps in both legs down the front of my calves! ouch, I had to try to walk that off a little bit – I’m not a runner – it happened when I was on a bike – I wonder what causes that, I have been waking up in the middle of the night with leg cramps lately.
Last night I quilted more on Star Crazy – now that I am getting close to the end of the quilt I have to remember how I quilted certain sections – I don’t feel like having to unwind the quilt to look. I knew I had taken progress photos for the blog, so I went back and printed out some photos! I know you can’t see the details I was looking from – from these but I can and that is what counts ![]()

I worked more on scrap cutting last night and then a little more this morning – having everything laid out on the kitchen table helps – when I walk past or when I am cooking I tend to spend an extra 10 minutes or so cutting. Not even a week and I am in the middle of box #3. Maybe it won’t take the whole summer after all!

Leg cramps are no fun!! Check calcium levels, caffeine amounts (diuretic-robs body of nutrients/electrolytes). For me, its low mineral levels and/or too much coffee that triggers episodes. If you have a regular pharmacy, they should be able to direct you to the appropriate OTCs. “Joseph’s Coat” is incredible! Definitely a work of love. Hugs, Doreen

The end is in sight for both of those projects and I love both of them!

Love the colors in your quilt and great progress. The fussy cut project that Shirley is making is gorgeous. I do not have the patience for fussy cutting.

The leg cramps might be caused by a Vitamin D deficiency. I started taking Vitamin D for my bones, and, presto, my leg cramps disappeared.
Loving the Joseph’s Coat!
Nice WIPs. I have heard lack of calcium may cause leg cramps, perhaps an idea checking it out?

I’ve heard low potassium causes leg cramps, but for me I believe it is calcium. If I forget to take my calcium a couple of days in a row–I get them in the arches of my feet.
