I was busy and probably was standing way too long yesterday as my knees hurt this morning but I have the fabric all cut and ready to go for those new little top that I plan on working on this weekend.
The top is called X-Rated – I don’t know if that will be my name for it, I usually change it from someone else calls it but not always. The pattern is from Carrie Nelson’s Schnibbles Times Two. I used 12 fat quarters and about 1 1/2 yards of cream bella solid. And the fabric was all free – that always makes it so much nicer! Winning give away’s is great – someone asked me how I manage to win – I enter! you have to enter to win and if you enter enough of them sometimes you are bound to win
I only enter the ones that have very few instructions, I am not going to jump through hoops to enter. This quilt is supposed to measure about 69 x 69 inches when finished.

Not all fat quarters are created equal – ever notice that! I did need to dig in the stash and pull out two pieces to cut up a little more for the border pieces but I don’t think I would have had enough even if all these pieces had been the same size. She did call for 68 – 10 inch squares from layer cakes in her pattern and I was using fat quarters.

This weekend I will be busy machine sewing off and on, applique on the Red and Green (2 borders left to do), quilting on Joseph’s Coat – yes it has been awhile since I showed it, I have not been getting time in every day on it anymore but it is still coming along. I am almost done with the 6th out of 10 rows of quilting. I hope to get a bit done but one can never tell, maybe plans will change.
Have a great weekend.
