X Marks the Spot

in quilts

It was so nice this weekend that I didn’t do a lot of quilting/sewing.  Last night I put  some old “Everybody Loves Raymond” on the tv and I picked up X Marks the Spot and got busy.  It is moving along really well even though I have not been working on it every day.  There are 7 rows of 7 X’s and 3 of the rows are complete that are in the center of the quilt.  I am part way done with 2 of the other rows.

It is beginning to get to the time of the year when I do more outside and less inside.  I love fall – it isn’t here yet! but it is getting closer.  Night times are starting to be cool enough to keep the mornings feel nice – I know Arkansas will still have some hot temperatures even though we are close to the middle of the month – it is not unusual to have 90’s still through the beginning of October but at least it is getting less hot temperatures and more moderate.

A trip to Wal-Mart today to pick up a few things, clean the house and ? who knows – what are you up to today?

I love to watch old episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond, too. They make me laugh and laugh. I saw the episode the other day where Marie interrupts Robert’s wedding with motherly advice, and laughed so hard that my husband had to come into the room to see what was causing such a reaction.
Your quilt is coming along very nicely, and I admire all of the hand quilting you do.

Lovely quilt. What I’m up to today…. Have to go shopping first of all… Played a bit in EQ7 yesterday to figure out how to make a pattern…. Whew! Wish I had more patience – LOL! But I haven’t given up yet… :)

Still on the road in the Black Hills! A visit to “Heartsong Quilt Shop” in Hot Springs today yielded some Aussie and African pieces. Can’t wait to get to the machine!!!! Your quilt gives me such a good feeling….cozy!

Love the colors in this quilt! Off to the fabric store to get batting to pin down second quilt top for granddaughter’s Christmas quilt – two pinned down and ready to start quilting! The third top is half done and the fourth is still a work in progress but going quickly. I estimate both of these will be done by the end of the month!
Then on to quilting all four by Christmas! I have my work cut out for me to get them finished by Christmas! Boys howdy, talk about taking on too many projects at once!
