Finished!  I just took the quilt out of the washer and dryer this morning – it measures out at a 63 inch square.  I’m very pleased with the finish which has that antique crinkly look that I love from using 100% cotton batting – Quilters Dream Request loft.  I did a multi-color binding using a few left over scraps that were in the quilt plus some for the stash that went well with these prints.

Now on to the binding for the Triangle quilt – it is machine sewed on already and just needs the hand stitching – it is a little smaller than X  Marks the Spot. I will work on it off and on today and tomorrow and maybe be done with it by Tuesday?

  4. Oh how great this quilt looks after being washed!!! I too love that crinkly look. And this quilt looks like it was made years ago, maybe in the 30’s or 40’s. Just beautiful! Did you say you were putting this on your bed?
