Joseph’s Coat

Joseph’s Coat

I was able to turn the rollers down again last night on the quilting frame – not much left to do now!  I think I am closer to under 20 hours than I thought I was to finish.  I can reach half of these and then will have to roll it down one more time.  On average it is taking me about 8 to 10 hours to do the whole stretch across.

I wonder how long before I get my order from Hancock’s for the backing on the Bow Tie quilt – the frame just might be empty for a couple days at this rate.  I haven’t even gotten a “your order has shipped” notice, from them yet.  Should arrive I would assume next week – sometimes they are slow.  That’s ok though, it will give my fingers a couple days of quilting finger relief!  Maybe I can organize some of this fabric a little?

Quilt group tonight, I wonder what kind of eye candy well be shown.

(I am compensated for any purchases made through my links.)

Almost there…..! Your fabric looks pretty good to me!!! Have not ordered from Hancock’s but know that sometimes they are a little slow at acknowledging the date of shipment. Hope there are photos of your group’s endeavors! Hugs, D

Can’t wait to see it finished!!!! I love the colors in this one! I just put the binding on two more of the Christmas quilts! Three down and one more to go! Woohoo! I WILL be finished with all four in time to give them to the 4 granddaughters for Christmas! And then on to complete the Civil War quilt! That one will be quilted on the frame I just got that is like yours! No way I will lap quilt it! But I have two more to “cut out” and get started on besides completing the Civil War one! (after the first of the year!!!) I’m like you! I like to have several going at one time!

It will be a work of art! Museum worthy Karen. Where will this works go? Are you actually going to use it or give it to some one in the family?
It is better than any of the Gees Bend quilts I’ve just seen….honestly.

The Joseph’s Coat is looking so fantastic. You are almost done. Arghhhhhhhhh ….. you had to mention Hancock’s. They are so frustrating sometimes. I made an order on the 24th of October and then heard nothing until the 29th. On the other hand I ordered from eQuilter on the 30th of October, got the order shipped e-mail the next day. My e-Quilter order and Hancock’s ordered arrived on the same day!
