yes baking has begun. If you check out my daughters blog “At Home,Take 2” you will see that she has a weekly feature called “Wonderful Food Wednesday”. You can find a variety of recipes from bloggers. Link up and see the other recipes.
I bet my daughter already has some cookies made in preparation of the big blizzard coming to Wisconsin – the kids will be glad to play in the snow when the storm passes.
I thought I would feature my chocolate chip cookies which are nothing special really. My recipe is from on the bag of the Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chip package – (any kind of chocolate chip can be used in this recipe.

Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup softened butter sticks
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 large eggs
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts – I use pecans or walnuts
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Cream the butter and sugars together, add the eggs and vanilla – cream until well blended. Add the dry ingredients and thoroughly mix. Stir in the chips and nuts.
Drop by spoonful’s onto a greased cookie sheet. This can be whatever spoonful size you want
sometimes I make giant cookies – sometimes small. I am making small cookies this time as we will have a variety of cookies for Christmas. The amount made depends on the size you make them – small about 4 dozen – large – 2 dozen? Bake for about 12 minutes depending on how brown and crunchy or soft you want them.

I sure have had this cookie sheet for a long time!
