Coming Along

Lucy Boston–Patchwork of the Crosses, quilts

Last night I finished up on the row that I have been making for the Patchwork of the Crosses.  Of course now I have to join them with the little aqua squares of course.

The Janome is packed up and ready to go get serviced today.  I’m leaving for Fort Smith this morning to bring it in.  They said they should be able to get it taken care of same day so I can wait around and go shopping and go back and get it this afternoon.  I hope so – otherwise I will need to run back later in the week and pick it up.  I am meeting one of my many nieces and her baby for lunch so that will pass some of the time.  She lives near the area and will meet me.  Her baby is 9 months old now – it will be nice to see Kristy and Jesse, they weren’t able to make it up to Bentonville for mom’s birthday party in December so it will be nice to get caught up.

I don’t know how much shopping I will actually do as I am not much of a shopper anymore, but I will have some time to kill so I might just as well make use of it.

Looks like rain coming in our area tomorrow and Thursday – we need it but not all at once! this weekend too from what the weather man said last night it sounds like we might have 4 inches by the end of the weekend.

(I am compensated for any purchases made through my links.)

That quilt looks lovely. I love the soft aqua you used. Looks like you’re planning to make it much bigger since you have so many hexies ready to add. I admire your persistence!

I’m loving your POTC. I just got out my book at the start of this year and am having a template made for me 😀 I can use inklingo, but I do also love these templates I use when not using my printer 😀 I am excited about at least starting this one. It will probably still be in the making along with my GFG when I’m old and in the nursing home, but hey, one can always dream 😀 😀

    Have a great day!

I love this quilt! And your block within a block quilt is the same one I did for my college granddaughter for Christmas! Neat! I will have to send you a pic of the fabric I used for hers – it was definitely “college appropriate!” All the girls loved theirs! Was worth all the work!

I hope you have a fun day. Be safe.

The more of your POTC you show, the more you’re inspiring me to get mine back into the rotation of quilts to work on. Love the colours of the squares you’re using for the connectors/corners.

I think you should enter this quilt into a quilt show!
I hope the Janome got fixed today! I’ve only been to Fort Smith twice, we couldn’t find much so always go shopping in Little Rock instead… not that we go very often, twice a year maybe? 🙂

Karen, your choice of aqua as connectors is perfect. I would never have thought to put aqua in, but it makes the ‘to-be-quilt’. Hope they did a good job servicing your machine. Our temperatures started to drop yesterday, and the wind was quite strong. Rain overnight and now it is cold enough for wollens in the middle of summer. Crazy weather!

Oh I wish I would have known you were going. There is a books-a-million in the new shopping center. That’s a good place to sit and relax and kill time.

I love everything about POTC!!! I hope your day was productive and your machine is ‘all better’. My new Sweet Sixteen has to go in on Friday….the LED light ring is defective and needs to be replaced and I’m allowing the dealer the honor of doing it. DH will observe (in case there’s a next time).
Thought of you the other day. I received a notice from the coach bus company that drives the quilt groups to the Paducah quilt show. I haven’t given any thought to it at this point.

This quilt top is becoming one of my favorites of all you’ve made since following your blog. It’s gorgeous!
