Nothing new to really show on Dizzy the Red and Black seeing as it is hard to get the quilting to show up on that one. I have been busy on it and I got 4 more of the squares quilted last evening and I am bringing it to the quilt group this morning to work on so maybe I can get another 2 done this morning. I think I have 7 squares left to quilt on that one.
I did get back to work on my strings yesterday afternoon and I have enough blocks done to do one side of one more pillow. Maybe I will make the rest of the blocks today for the front side? We will see how the day progresses. I have been trying to not have any of the same colors exactly by each other but I did notice that one of my light blues are next to each other – do I care enough to change it – heck no! it is a scrappy pillow after all – not a prize winner
The Janome was running smoothly again and sounded great – I had not really noticed that it had been so rough for awhile there.

This is a great way to use up all these strings – I sure well have a mess to reorganize though when I finish this pillow – two boxes of strings totally destructed in a short period of time! I need to refold all these pieces hanging out of the boxes – the boxes are overflowing once again and I took pieces out of them. Now to get the lids back on them – LOL – I bet once I get all the pieces folded and back in the boxes it won’t even look like I made any progress using them up.

Lookin’ good. The match up on colors is often a planned thing so I wouldn’t give it a second thought. Funny how those scraps/strings seem to actually multiply rather than decrease!!!! It’s just a mystery!!!!

Using scraps is so much fun, but it rarely looks like there’s even a dent made.:) I really want to make some string blocks some day. Yours is great!
Glad your Janome is running great. Glad you had a good experience with the shop.
