Thank you all for your suggestions on sewing machines.  I will be going into Little Rock later this month and hope to stop by a shop and try some out, look at them, see what is there.  If I can’t then I will do it next month.  I don’t know for certain that I will get a new machine – but it is something that I am thinking about.

Yesterday it was so chilly outside that I was barely out.  Instead I stayed in and quilted and pieced once again.  I managed to finish the row of quilting on the Bow Tie Medallion – finishing this section.  I gave it a couple cranks down and will be ready to start quilting again this week and hopefully make progress – I am getting close to the half way mark!  One more time to crank it down and the half way point will be right in front of my fingers.

Patchwork of the Crosses has one more block finished and pressed – well I think I showed the un-pressed block yesterday?  Here is the next one picked out but not started.

Plus 4 more of the diamond hexies done – not quite 20 in the box yet, but they are done quickly when I sit down to work on them – I did four of them yesterday in an hour I believe.

  1. It is freezing here to! You are making me fall in love with hexies. I embroidered a few into the corners of the sashiko design of my current project. LOL!!!

  2. With such a variety of quilts to work on, at least you won’t get bored!

  3. Melainie is right, those hexies look so good we will all be tempted to start one.

Nearing the half way mark on ‘Bow Tie Medallion” would be encouraging for you! How long do you estimate a finish?
