Spring has Sprung

gardening

I just had to post this first sign of spring even though I posted earlier.  When walking up to the mailbox a little while ago this bright yellow caught my eye.  The earliest of the many varieties of daffodils that I have Smile

Good! I believe I’m ready for spring, although winter hasn’t been all that bad yet.

I hope between the flowers and that darn groundhog it doesn’t mean we’re going to have another hot, dry summer :(

Our daffodils line the driveway through the woods and are already spectacular which means they\’ll be gone by early to mid-March. I\’m with CJ, last summer was a hard garden year and 2011 was a prelude of what was to come. Even my hybrid daffodils that usually bloom the end of March are budded out.

My daffs are just starting to peak through the ground. Yours are way ahead of mine. I love, love, love those yellow blossoms. Makes me feel youthful again for some strange reason.
