I saw this on pinterest and added it to my page . I think it would be pretty for a Christmas decoration using white and red tulips in one clear bowl or wide vase for something very different than the usual poinsettia or flowers normally used at Christmas time. But I am wondering how far in advance should I put the bulbs in water for the roots to form and the flowers to develop? Directions are with the photo on my pinterest page. I got red and white bulbs today – now when to do it! I’m thinking two months in advance – what do you all think? The bulb is actually sitting just above the water level. I read one place that if you want fresh bulb flowers all winter to plant 8 to 10 weeks apart so that is why I was thinking two months in advance – maybe second or third week of October?
