While I am busy stitching the binding on the 9-patch quilt I have also been getting pieces ready for another Floral Fantasy block. It is normally pretty easy to decide color for these because I love the colors the author of the book had chosen for them! That is one of the main things that attracted me to this quilt in the first place. I change them up a little bit here and there depending on what is in the stash.
Freezer paper templates onto on to the fabric.
Ready to peel off the freezer paper and glue baste in place.
All glue basted in place and the thread is picked out. Now it will sit on the coffee table until I get the binding finished. Then I will pick it up now and then over the course of the next several weeks and work on it in between quilting.
My backing fabric for the Uncommon, Common Bride should arrive in the middle of the week and I will then get it pin pasted and in the hoop. I will divide my time between that one and the Red and Green for hand quilting. I have no more machine quilting planned right now – I’m sure I will get another scrappy quilt started soon though – just can’t seem to stop making tops
