I have so enjoyed the nice weather – got very little done in the line of quilting yesterday – I got my little garden planted after having had to dig the whole thing up to turn soil over and add fertilizer.  Mainly tomatoes with a a little of other things thrown in it, and I will plant some flowers around the edges.  I hope these tomato plants grow as big as the plants did last year.   I still need to power wash the boards around it – they sure look nasty!  I will make sure to aim away from the plants.  I need to pick up some cages for the tomato’s also – the ones I have used in previous years have fallen apart with age.

One of my azalea bushes.

This photo doesn’t capture all of them – I have 6 big bushes – 3 pink on the left, a red, white, and pink again – then I rooted another red and white from the bushes and planted them to the right of the pink in the photo – they are pretty small still and you can’t see them in the photo.

Wild Violets, they grow everywhere and I let them!  I like them

I don’t know what kind of tree this is but it is in bloom and looks pretty

  2. I was gardening too this week, the weather has finally broken, I hope! It sure does cut into the stitching time, but I love doing both.

  6. Happy Easter! I just mowed the grass and am not Slow Stitching at all…rather I am making fabric banners / pennants for my grand kids rooms since this is their moving to a new house weekend! :)
I don’t have an azalea but my closest neighbor has a gorgeous pink one like yours. Then on the street below me ( I can see this from my front porch ) another neighbor has an unusual vibrant orange azalea. These are not in bloom here yet but it shouldn’t be too long! :)

  8. Preciosas azaleas!!!
Mis glicinias están apunto de abrirse,
pero anuncian una bajada muy grande de temperaturas
y ya se empieza a notar, espero que no sufran demasiado
    ya que están muy avanzadas
    buena semana

  9. En mi jardín también tengo violetas blancas,
pero llegan un poco mas tarde

  10. The azaleas are beautiful! Always good to see things blooming in spring! Life returned.
