Binding Done

Diamonds Are Forever, Williamsburg Beauty, Winter Wonderland

I got done with the binding on Diamonds are Forever around 6:30 last night but we were having a rain storm with possible high winds meaning power outages might occur so washing and drying the quilt waited for today.  One certainly doesn’t want to get a quilt in the washing machine and then have the power go out when it is sitting in water – got to keep that quilt moving to prevent bleed you know!!   I hope to get a finished photo for Thursdays post.

I started on this section of Winter Wonderland Monday night and finished three blocks and planned on continuing with that are last night.  I am linking to Sew Fresh Quilts and My Quilt Infatuation.

One of the books that I pulled off the shelves to look for ideas for borders on Williamsburg Beauty – I really don’t care for English Paper Piecing but I have done bits and pieces that way for borders – as long as it is small or narrow sections I can handle it ok.  Some of the fabric pulled from the shelves as well – some or all will be used in this next border – well not give a peak until I get going on it.

Looks like the snow should stay about 50 miles north of us – but who can tell – maybe I woke up to snow – I write and schedule my post the evening before it shows up on here so I won’t know until I wake up.

(I am compensated for any purchases made through my links.)

Well I hope that your power stayed on overnight and everything is ok …I see the south has had some awful weather / we are mild and raining here today though snow and icy conditions may arrive in a day or so

We got 3+” of snow but I’ll bet we don’t even have a half inch on the ground now as the temps have been above freezing all day. We did have a fair accumulation early this morning during the heaviest of the snowfall and while the temp was just above freezing at 33. I can deal with this kind of snow, although I’d really rather be done with snow and winter and head right into spring.

I can’t wait to see what you’ve chosen for the border for your Williamsburg Beauty.

Hope there were no power outage overnight. Congrats on finishing the DAF! Feels good, doesn’t it? Beautiful WW and can’t wait to see what you have in mind for the WB borders. Thunderstorms here for the last 2-3 days and the temp has dropped with 2-3 degrees Celsius, which is wonderful! Still one month to go before it starts cooling down. Can’t wait!
