A Win

Handful of Scraps

EDITED (10:30 AM):  I think comments are now working.  If you subscribe to my blog by email I have been told that at least one person wasn’t getting updates – I think that is now fixed too – let me no if there are any other problems.  Thanks  EDITED: 1:30 nope still not working.

I had a little package arrive yesterday from Ireland – Last week I won a drawing from Scraptastic Tuesday – my prize came from a quilt shop in Ireland called Fluffy Sheep Quilting.  I chose a charm package and a fat quarter.  Not sure what I will make right now – but it will go in something for sure.  The colors in that fat quarter package might make another nice table topper with some white or cream added to it.

I have been going around the “circle” of Handful of Scraps putting the middle of the quilt together and you can see it is coming together nicely.

Pretty flowers from the garden.

The second lot of buds on the roses are opening now and they always seem to be so much healthier then the first round that opens in April – at the end of April I think it was when I cut all the dying blooms off and now they are getting started again – they just seem to open fuller and redder.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.  My comments are still not working and I have to go into the blog to see them as they are not coming to my in box – thank you all that stop by I know I haven’t answered all like I normally do.  Hope it comes back on it’s own like it did last time as I haven’t a clue how to get it to work again.

(I am compensated for any purchases made through my links.)

Don’t worry about trying to answer my comment! Hope it starts to work soon, though! I am madly in love with that win! Colors are delicious! I can’t wait to see what it turns in to! Flowers are stunning- mine might last longer if our Boykin spaniel didn’t think them something to play with from time to time! Ha! The new hexie project is coming along beautifully! Have a great weekend!

I concur … it’s not necessary to answer my comments, either. 😉

Getting a squishy package in the mail is a,ways a treat … all the more so when you get it for free! 😉

Have a good Memorial Day weekend!

    Hi Karen,

I’ve been enjoying your blog for a while now and just realized that I haven’t been getting your email notices for a week or so now. Have you been having a problem, or do I need to do some digging on my end?

I’ve been jealous of your being able to work outside in your garden, but I have been able to get outside this week too, finally. Probably why it took so long for me to notice the lack of emails from you.

    thanks, suzanne

Testing email notification of new comments.

I’ve tried resetting all related checkboxes to “unchecked”, saving and then back to where they were originally.

Looks like some happy mail for sure!! Cannot wait to see these make it into a future project….
Your hexies are looking great! Looking forward to following along as they grow in number and the pattern takes shape!
Beautiful flowers from your garden! The rose is awesome, and I am somewhat partial to hydrangeas….My hydrangea won’t bloom for a while yet so I am enjoying seeing your picture!!
