Fabric & A Walk

With all this fabric in this sewing room you would think I would have done something with needle and thread yesterday – but I didn’t.  I really need to think of a good pattern to use some of this fabric for – standing an end in the box are 10 – 1 yard pieces – but no pattern has come to my mind to use them for.  They were a mystery box of fabric from Craftsy — Mike got it for me awhile back – what pattern – such pretty blues and green and one in there is almost a bronze type color although you can tell from the photo (on my screen) there are threads of gold running through some of them.

So much inspiration in this room

I did sit down in the evening to quilt – daytime – more laundry and the yard needed cutting and the mulch put back where it had been before the rain earlier in the week washed it out of place around the garden.  I will get my hexies out later for some Slow Sunday Stitching with all the gals at Kathy’s Quilt.

We did go out to the lake in the evening to take a walk – what a warm evening it was – 82 and the sun was shining hot at 7 PM

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Those fabrics are beautiful. I’ve seen those mystery boxes on the Craftsy site, but never ordered one. Maybe someday I’ll take the chance.

What a lovely lake for a walk about! I love that 🙂 Recently my dd and I fed some fish in a little lake near our home… little fish came and gobbled it up! lol
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your fabric collection and how you .. like me… have it sprinkled all over your sewing room too! I love seeing fabric everywhere in my sewing room… it does inspire me a LOT!
I hope you find a pattern you like for those gorgeous fabrics you got there… That was a GREAT deal I bet for Mike to get for you all those mystery 1 yard cuts and they are sooo cool! Some day I will have a budget that includes Craftsy’s great sale items like that. Have a blessed Memorial weekend! Kathi

Looks so nice and cool by the lake. At 7:00 here it was still around 91 degrees / miserable hot day yesterday! 🙂

Your fabrics are so well organized!
Looks like you are almost to the end of the hand quilting on winter wonderland… do you have something ready to put in the frame next?

I have confidence that you’ll think of something to use those lovely fabrics.

I got out for a walk at around 7:00, too (just in the neighborhood so my scenery wasn’t as fabulous as yours) and I was a little sweaty by the time I finished up. 😮

Beautiful fabrics! So much inspiration…and so many possibilities!!
We power washed our deck and house yesterday (actually, my husband did most of it…I just assisted, when needed)… Here in Virginia, we are supposed to have some rain every day for the next several days, starting today….we don’t need rain since it has been a wet spring, so far, but I guess we will take what we can get!!
I am working on some hand quilting on a wall hanging today….hope to get it finished up so I can do the binding tomorrow…we will see!!

“so much inspiration in this room” – there certainly is! And lots outside too, that’s such beautiful scenery. I wouldn’t mind taking a few hexies out there for a bit of a lakeside stitch in with you this evening! Enjoy the sunshine 🙂

Love your beautiful fabric. Looks like you had a wonderful walk. I also live near a lake….about a 3 minute drive or a 5 minute walk through the woods. 🙂

Those fabrics are very pretty. It is so hard to decide what to make with certain fabrics. I look forward to seeing them in a future quilt. Your lakeside walk looks very relaxing. Enjoy your stitching.

The lake walk looks gorgeous – the evening can be a great time to walk. I’m sure the right pattern for your lovely fabric will come to mind some time… your sewing area is so organised and tidy – wish I could achieve that with mine!
