Butterflies

Handful of Scraps, quilts

I did get some sewing done yesterday – Butterfly Parade is now 10 x 12 rows to make it about 40 x 48 inches.  I think I will make it – if there are enough blocks left – to be 44 x 52 inches.

This much left to work with although if it isn’t enough I’m sure I can always find something among the scraps to work with that would “match” up ok.  I am linking to Confessions of a Fabric Addict today and Fort Worth Fabric Studio and Crazy Mom Quilts.

I also got Handful of Scraps out and got a few more hexies organized and stitched.  I will work a little more on this area of neutrals which will go above and the to the right of the gray/green diamond shown in previous photos – maybe three days ago?

It looks so much bigger in the picture! I’m loving it. Yay for making a smaller quilt for a change of pace, but with those tiny blocks, it was still a lot of work! XO

Oh wow, Karen! Those fluttery butterflies are really coming along – what a fabulous quilt this one’s going to be. Just love the light summery colours you’ve chosen, like butterflies in a meadow 🙂 Your hexies are making me want to get out some paper templates…no, no, no – too many wips to finish!!

Your hexies always looks so perfect. I have the plastic quilt patis to shape the hexies, but sewing them together is my problem. How do you do yours? Could you possibly do a short tutorial? I don’t know how you find the time to accomplish all you do. Love everything you do…….Sandy

So many butterflies!! This quilt is looking great….and, just because the blocks are small doesn’t mean it is less work….sounds like you are in the home stretch!
Your little hexies are looking great as well!
We are in the middle of our heat wave here in Virginia…..heat index today and tomorrow predicted to be in the triple digits! Ugh!! I am staying inside as much as possible on these hot, hot, humid days!

I love your butterfly quilt. The colors are great-they vary but look so good together!
