Handful of Scraps

Handful of Scraps was taken off the design wall for awhile yesterday and I spread it out on the table to work.  The last couple times I tried to work on it at the couch when putting sections together they got messed up so I thought I would try the table for that part so I can keep track of my layout better – and it worked.  No unpicking to do.

Back on the wall – the next section I will work on is the neutral area above the gray/yellow diamond in between the yellow “flower” and the blue/green “flower” then the neutral that will be to the right of the blue/green.  By then I will be ready to work on more flowers and color I’m sure and will start to go around the diamond.  I am linking to Cooking Up Quilts today and Patchwork Times and Em’s Scrapbag.

I skipped quilting on Saturday night as it was so nice outside on the porch I was reading on the porch until near 10 PM.  I did get a little more done with the wool but didn’t get a picture of the applique I will get more next time I work on it.

Everyone here in the states have a safe 4th of July!!  we are staying home it is to rain off and on most of the day – I’m just planning on cooking inside!

(I am compensated for any purchases made through my links.)

Rain is in the forecast here as well. Showers in the morning, heavier rain later on…hope it holds off ; grandson’s football team is marching. Or maybe it’s wrestling. Whatever, lol! Have a good one! 🙂

We’ve got rain coming today, too. I’m ready for an end to the rain, but not if it brings back highs of 95+ like the forecast indicates. Ugh

No rain forecast here!!! Off to the”Ole’ Miss” to be with some of our Petttibone RV friends from previous years (b/4 we sold our RV last Fall) and view the fireworks from a safe distance. LaCrosse (“River Fest”) is in progress and Riverside Park is crazy. With only 2 ways to cross back over the river to MN, the traffic jam after the display is enormous and lasts almost 1&1/2 hours!!!! No hurry to get home……we’re retired!!! LOL! Happy 4th to you and your family!!!!!!

I confess. Watching your progress on the Handful of Scraps project finally pushed me into buying the book. I hope to start work on it as soon as I finish my current handwork project.
