Same Old, Same Old

family, quilts, Wagon’s West (dresden plates)

Repeat of yesterdays post – the Butterfly Parade grew by 19 blocks – added another row to width and length – now 40” square – while I was sticking the new blocks to the wall I found one 4 patch from the previous days sewing session turned wrong and had to get the ripper out – sat down to re-stitch and the bobbin of course ran out just at that moment, I had no more filled so had to take the time to get a bobbin ready.  I hate it when that happens and you only need to do a partial seam or two.  I am linking to Tweety Loves Quilting today.

Wagon’s West from Thursday nights session –

No quilting Friday night, Mike and I drove to meet some of my brother’s and one sister and some nieces and nephews for a night out.    There were about 40 of us I guess – there are so many of us it is always good to get as many as we can in one place for a visit.    We had a room reserved at a place called The Whole Hog Café – barbecue.  July 1st would have been our parents 66th wedding anniversary and thought it was a good night to meet up.  Neither of our parents are with us now but still a nice memory to celebrate and a reason to get together.

(I am compensated for any purchases made through my links.)

Wow, 40 of you. Sounds like a nice get-together.

What an aggravation to run out of bobbin thread when you need to put in a few stitches … as if having to unstitch/restitch isn’t enough of an aggravation, right?

    Happy holiday weekend!
