Same Old Stuff

Handful of Scraps, quilts, Wagon’s West (dresden plates)

Moving right along on the Butterfly Parade quilt – 8 rows of blocks sewn, a little more to go and then start to put those rows together.

Fifty more neutral hexies thread basted for the Handful of Scraps quilt – did that yesterday afternoon on the porch – we had rain south of us and it darkened the skies, the temperature got cooler, the wind picked up – thought we would get the rain but we didn’t – we don’t need it in my opinion we had enough this past week – but so nice to get the lowered temps.  It made it so nice sitting on the porch in the afternoon when it is usually way too hot.

Wagon’s West is rolled down and work continues on the 3rd row of blocks.  I am linking to Em’s Scrapbag today and Design Wall Monday.

It will be more of the same all week – really trying to concentrate on some of these quilts to finish them up – I will work on the wool applique though this week also for the borders of the Postage Stamp quilt.  One day I will get the two other quilts out to work on that have been neglected for months on end (Love Entwined, and Williamsburg Beauty) but for now they will be fine in their boxes!

Thank you to those that order their Craftsy classes and products through my links and AccuQuilt also – I do appreciate it.

(I am compensated for any purchases made through my links.)

I have a “Love Entwined” languishing too. I decided to make just the center, but it’s still stalled.

I am really enjoying seeing your progress on your current active projects 🙂 I don’t feel it is the “same old” at all! Butterfly Parade is sooo fun! Your hexies look very scrappy and very neutral which is good 😉 And of course … Wagon’s West is rocking!!!! You are doing great work Karen… have a blessed week! Kathi

You get more done in a day than I do in a week!!
Love following along on all your projects….
We are still hot and humid here in Virginia…ugh!! There is a possibility we may get some rain either tomorrow or Wednesday….hope it happens…it might give us some relief, if even for a little while!!
I have errands this morning…then back to my hand piecing on that wall hanging using only solid color fabrics ….when I first started it, I wasn’t sure I liked using only solids, but it is beginning to grow on me….I will add a print border, I think. It is all half square triangles, so I think a print border will finish it off nicely….but it will be another few days before I have to decide….we’ll see …

Yes, as Sandra said, you get way more done in a day than I do in a week or even in a MONTH! I was especially interested in the photo of how you have your hexies packed up in little travel cases. I’ve been wanting to try some EPP, maybe apple cores or clamshells, and had thought I would need to have everything basted and ready to stitch together before it would be a portable project. Hadn’t really considered that I could do the basting part when I was “out and about!”

I love seeing your progress … I’ve hit a snag in my quilting progress so I’m living vicariously through you, as far as quilts are concerned. 😉

You are making good progress on your Wagons West and your Butterflies are looking great too! Nice to find somewhere cool to work, a variety of projects on the go means the perfect one for every situation 🙂 Good luck with working through your goals this week.

How interesting to see how much difference there is with the blocks sewn as opposed to just end to end! I guess it happens on my design wall too, but I just stopped to notice yours.

Love thatbook you bought in the last post!
