Variety is Good In the Quilting Room

Postage Stamp Quilt, quilts, Quilty 365 – The Final Frontier, Wagon’s West (dresden plates)

Just how many different projects did I work on yesterday – I worked on 4 different things and finished a book!

I got about 80 more brick units machine stitched and press – I now have 381 done and need 636 I think.  I will cut and work as I feel like it.

My backing for The Final Frontier is pressed and trimmed on the edges – I need to sew the three pieces together and then trim down from there.

This is the thread I am using for that quilt.

This section for the Postage Stamp quilt is finished – one more cluster to go on this border and add in a few more things in the sections that are too sparse and then move on to the other border.

The area finished on Wagons West Friday night.

This much left to do – should finish it Monday for sure.  Today I will get the backing stitched for the Final Frontier and work on either the wool or the hexies for Slow Sunday Stitching with Kathy also Quilting is More Fun Than Housework.

Thanks for all the advice on the EPP papers.  I think I will start taking the papers out except for the two outer rows when I get ready to stitch another big section in a week or two.

(I am compensated for any purchases made through my links.)

Final frontier is looking good. Who would have thought a simple group of circles would be so fantastic?

You have been incredibly busy! Your projects are looking sooooo good. There’s something very satisfying about seeing a pile of fabric blocks beautifully pressed, just waiting to be joined together and seeing your hexie project in the previous post really makes me want to start another!

I love being able to work on a variety of different projects. What is that thread? It has a pretty variegated look. It will look so pretty as quilting. Your applique is really pretty. I love watching your progress on each project.

Love the thread you’ll be using for FF. Is it King Tut? I just used some King Tut purple which was very slightly variegated for my last quilt (the binding seems endless but it is getting bound ever so slowly). Hoping to finish that binding in the next few days as it’s going to rain. I’ll get a picture taken when the sun comes out.

If there is a thing I want to learn and do in this life is hand quilting. You are doing a masterpiece. Gorgeous.
